Donna Kelce, the mother of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, said "you never know" when asked about her son's future with pop superstar girlfriend Taylor Swift during a Mother's Day special episode of The Martha Stewart Podcast released on Wednesday (May 8).
“Time will tell, but I know that they’re both friendly. They’re both generous. They’re both loving. They’re both caring individuals," Donna said.
Stewart, 82, told the Kelce matriarch that she "was begged not to mention Taylor Swift" on the podcast but praised Donna for always looking "so great with her in the [luxury suite] box when she was at the games with you" and added that the singer was "lovely" during her the one time she met her.
“So good luck with that because that is some situation,” Stewart said.
Donna was seen attending games with Swift numerous times during the 2023 NFL regular season and postseason, which included the Chiefs' Super Bowl LVIII win against the San Francisco 49ers in February. Swift and Kelce, both 34, initially went public with their relationship when she attended his game against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium in September.
The three-time Super Bowl champion famously revealed that he attempted to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number when he attended her concert at Arrowhead Stadium prior to their relationship last summer. Swift later said that Kelce "very adorably put me on blast" when he acknowledged the situation on his podcast, which she said "was metal as hell" while being featured as Time Magazine's 'Person of the Year' in December 2023.
