Steve Aoki and Blink-182 Share 'Why Are We So Broken' Video: Watch

Just before the winter holidays, Steve Aoki gifted us with his highly collaborative Neon Future III album. And though the genre-spanning collection includes a variety of dance-worthy tracks, our favorite is his blink-182 collaboration "Why Are We So Broken?"

On Thursday (March 14), the DJ/producer and pop punk veterans shared the song's video. In the visuals, the band enthusiastically plays in a warehouse while Aoki jumps around, twisting and turning the knobs of his turntable. The clip cuts from performance footage to a young couple destroying a bunch of old appliances in a junkyard, giving a literal meaning to the word "broken."

Watch the energy-filled "Why Are We So Broken" video below.

Though the collaboration may seem a little out of left field, Barker and Aoki have actually been friends for quite some time.

“I’ve been friends with Steve for over 15 years, [so] doing a song with Steve and my band just came so easy,” the drummer told Alternative Press. “I think this song is a good balance between Steve Aoki and blink-182.”

“blink-182 are one of my favorite bands in the world, and they happen to be some of my close friends,” Aoki added. “There’s nothing better than making music with good friends that inspire the hell out of you.”
