Teenage Murder Suspect Promotes Instagram Account During Arrest

A 19-year-old from Texas who is accused of killing two people and wounding five others during a shooting inside of a San Antonio nightclub promoted his Instagram to reporters as he was taken into custody by the police. Kieran Christopher Williams is facing capital murder charges but claims he acted in self-defense.

"He told me he was gonna kill me," Williams told reporters who gathered outside the police station. "He told me cause I bumped into him, he was gonna kill me."

He offered remorse for his actions telling reporters he regrets what he did, but not before asking them to check out his Instagram page.

"That's me, I'm an upcoming artist," Williams said after revealing his Instagram handle to the reporters.

Officials said that Williams knew at least one of his victims. Witnesses said that he intentionally shot one person before turning his gun on the crowd. They said that the shooting stemmed from an argument between Williams and others inside the club.

"It seemed to be, like, younger crowd, so it's very sad to see such young lives being so reckless… Two lives are now gone, it's very sad," bystander Reyna Chapa told KXAN.
