Memorial Service Held For Kendrick Castillo Who Died After Tackling One Of The Gunmen During The STEM School Highlands Ranch Shooting

A hearse with the body of a deceased woman inside was stolen outside of a church in Pasadena, California. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said that the black Lincoln Navigator was parked outside Saint Anthony Greek Orthodox Church when it was stolen at around 8 p.m. on Wednesday (February 26) night.

The driver was inside the church after unloading another casket when the hearse was stolen.

The Sheriff's office pleaded with the suspect to return the casket and the body in a post on Twitter.

"To the suspect(s) driving around in a Black Lincoln Navigator stolen from the 700 blk of Rosemead Bl just after 8 p.m. today in uninc #Pasadena: Out of all the bad decisions you have made, at least make one good one & bring back the deceased person & casket inside the Navigator."

Police located the hearse on Thursday morning and engaged in a brief chase before the driver crashed. Police are currently on the scene working to clear the vehicle from the roadway. The driver was taken into custody and police confirmed they recovered a body, which was in a body bag and not a casket.
