Fender is launching a worldwide search for its first-ever Guitar Correspondent, who will be tasked with uncovering the stories behind the guitar performances at five major music festivals this year.
The Guitar Correspondent will be sent backstage to dig into the music, the gear and the inspiration behind the artistry, providing a new level of access to fans through those stories. They will be the "eyes, ears, and voice for Fender fans everywhere."
If you're interested, you can apply here until March 10. Showcase your guitar skills and storytelling talent.
The Guitar Correspondent will receive:
- All-Access Credentials - Behind-the-scenes access and 1:1 artist interviews
- Travel & Accommodations - Fender covers transportation and hotel for all festivals
- Cash prize - $10,000
- Collab - A kickoff session with the Fender team ahead of the first festival.
The winner will be announced on March 24.
"The Guitar Correspondent invites fans inside the moments that matter most — capturing the gear, the energy, and the human stories behind live performances — and helping tell the next chapter of Fender's legacy from the crowd, the stage, and everywhere in between," said Justin Norvell, President, Americas at Fender.
The year 2026 marks the 80th anniversary of Fender as a company, and the 75th anniversaries of both the Fender Telecaster and the Fender Precision Bass.
