“Musical trailblazers” Wynonna Judd and Melissa Etheridge are teaming up for a run of co-headlining shows, they announced on Monday (March 9).

The two Grammy-winning legends will kick off the “Raised On Radio Tour” over the summer. The run of shows is titled in honor of the music that played throughout their childhoods and inspired them to pursue their own careers as artists. Judd wrote in a caption as she posted the tour announcement on Instagram, “We grew up on the same songs, the same airwaves, and the same kind of music that brings people together.

“I’ve spent my entire adult life onstage, but before any of that, I was just a girl sitting close to a radio speaker, hanging on every word. That’s where it all started for me,” Judd added in a statement shared in a press release issued Monday. “Raised On Radio isn’t just a tour name—it’s my roots and wings. It’s late nights with the dial turned low, chasing distant stations through the static. It’s songs that felt like they understood me before I understood myself. The radio was my teacher, my comfort, my escape. The songs playing through that radio shaped me as a dreamer and an artist. This tour is about going back to that feeling and sharing it with you.”

Etheridge added in a statement of her own that she “was literally raised on the radio.” In particular, she recalled a local station that “played every kind of music from rock and soul to R&B and country music. It helped shape me to become the versatile writer and musician that I am today."

Etheridge, a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominee, became known for “Bring Me Some Water,” “Come to My Window,” “Bein’ Alive” and more throughout her career. The iconic rocker teamed up with Grammy-winning country powerhouse Chris Stapleton on “The Other Side of Blue,” appearing on her new album, Rise, releasing on March 27. Judd, a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, is known for her solo work in addition to the music she released with her late mother in the award-winning duo, The Judds. Some of her biggest hits include “No One Else on Earth,” “I Saw The Light,” and “She Is His Only Need,” to name a few.

Tickets to the “Raised On Radio Tour” will be available to the general public beginning at 10 a.m. local time on Friday (March 13). See the list of tour dates below.
