Foo Fighters played their first-ever NPR Tiny Desk concert, performing a mix of both new songs and classic hits.

The five-song set consisted of two tracks from their new album, Your Favorite Toy, which included energetic opening song "Spit Shine" and "Child Actor." The rock band performed the latter recently on Saturday Night Live UK.

"I didn't choke!" frontman Dave Grohl joked after finishing the song, explaining that during their SNL performance, he made a "furball sound" that a cat makes because he had accidentally breathed in his own hair. "No furballs!"

The Grammy winners also played their 1999 hit single "Learn to Fly," where Grohl addressed the crowd. "It's an honor to be here," he remarked. "I've watched so many of these Tiny Desk shows and have a bunch of favorites."

The rockers rounded out the concert with two tracks from their pivotal 1997 album The Colour and the Shape, "Everlong" and "My Hero."

Foo Fighters released their twelfth studio album last month. Grohl joked recently about how he and his bandmates were forced to change the title of their album because of the hit film Wicked: For Good.

"You know what I wanted to call the record?" the rocker mused during a recent interview with Radio X. "I wanted to call the record 'For Good.' And then that 'Wicked' movie came out and I was so pissed," he joked. "So then I changed the title of the song ['Your Favorite Toy'], and it just became the title of the album."
