Like mother, like son!

Evanescence frontwoman Amy Lee gushed over her 11-year-old son, Jack, following in her footsteps when it comes to metal music.

Lee, who brought Jack along with her for the band's November 2025 Australian shows with Metallica, opened up about how the experience profoundly impacted her son.

"I got to bring my son, who's 11 now, just at the perfect age to fall in love with metal," the rocker told Loudwire in an interview published on Wednesday (June 3). "Him getting to experience that in the stadium, rain gently falling, I'm just watching his mind go like, 'I'm in!' It was such a good thing for my heart and took me back to being that age and falling in love with music."

Lee also praised the metal legends. "They were so great, they were so gracious," she said of the iconic metal band. "You never know how it's going to be coming into somebody else's world."

The "Bring Me to Life" hitmakers will release their sixth studio album, Sanctuary, on Friday (June 5).

"I feel like we're in a moment where words are really important and every single line is an opportunity, it's a chance to say something that's going to impact somebody," the musician explained of the new LP. "Hopefully in a positive way, make them feel something, whether it's feeling understood or not alone in something or just they're not alone in the craziness of everything going on in the world right now."
