RUSH Is Reissuing Its Early Catalog On 'Definitive' High-Fidelity Formats

RUSH has announced plans to give its catalog the audiophile treatment and reissue a series of albums in high-fidelity formats, giving fans the "definitive" way to experience its recorded music.

The multi-year project was announced Tuesday in partnership with Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab. It will cover all the band's albums from 1974 - 1985.

The albums will be reissued as UltraDisc One-Step sets and Hybrid SACDs, starting this summer with 1975's 'Fly By Night' and 1977's 'A Farewell to Kings,' and continuing this fall with the reissue of Rush's self-titled 1974 debut.

Each reissue was cut from the original mastertapes, which according to a press release, were hand-delivered by Andy Curran to MoFi's mastering studio, ensuring "the clinical accuracy and sonic transparency that Rush devotees deserve."

The remaining titles in the collection — including Rush's most beloved albums, 'Moving Pictures' (1981), 'Permanent Waves' (1980), 'Hemispheres (1978), '2112' (1976) — will arrive in 2027 and 2028.
