My Chemical Romance reached the top of the Billboard 200, 20 years after releasing their hit album The Black Parade.

The band's The Black Parade (20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) debuted at No. 1 on the chart, marking their first-ever chart-topper. Per Billboard, the reissue earned 78,000 equivalent album units.

Originally released in 2006, the album debuted at No. 2 and spawned the Top 10 hit “Welcome to the Black Parade.”

The exciting achievement follows the news that the "Helena" hitmakers are planning to record their first new album in 15 years.

Band frontman Gerard Way revealed the band’s plans on Oct. 30 during their show at the Hollywood Bowl.

“Next year, we want to go make a record, so we’re probably not doing any shows,” the rocker told the crowd, per Consequence. “There’s no secret code to that … but seriously, we want to go do that and then hopefully we’ll see you guys in 2028.”

In October, Way previously hinted at the possibility of new music, telling fans the band had “always wanted to make another record” and that they deserved one.
