A 12-year-old girl and 13-year-old boy from Milwaukee are recovering in the hospital after getting shot. The kids were with a group of friends who were throwing snowballs at passing cars when the driver of a Toyota pulled out a gun and opened fire. While the group of kids scattered, two of them were hit by the bullets and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

When the police arrived, they applied first aid to the children and rushed them to a local hospital. The kids are expected to make a full recovery.

Authorities are trying to locate the suspect, who fled the scene after the shooting. The kids were not able to provide a description of the driver and only remembered that he was driving a white Toyota. Officials are asking the public for help identifying the shooter and have asked anybody with information to call Milwaukee Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS.
