McDonald's chairman and CEO Chris Kempczinski picked the recently returned Snack Wrap as his winning choice in the 'McDonald's Menu Item Tournament' in which he was asked to choose between the company's most popular offerings in a video shared on his LinkedIn page last week.

Kempczinski followed a similar trend to TikTok videos in which another person read names of popular items including the Egg McMuffin, Big Mac, World Famous Fries, Filet-O-Fish, Chicken McNuggets, McCrispy chicken sandwich, McCrispy Strips, Vanilla Cone, Apple Pie and the Quarter Pounder with Cheese in head-to-head matchups with the winner advancing each round. The Snack Wrap only faced the Vanilla Cone, which had beat out several other iconic choices before ultimately being eliminated.

"The winner is Snack Wrap!" the video concluded.

The Snack Wrap officially made its long-awaited return to the nationwide McDonald's menu in July.

“We're excited about the significant opportunity we see within our chicken portfolio and see the potential to add another point of chicken market share by the end of 2026,” McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski told investors during the 2024 Q4 earnings ahead of the actual return.

Kempczinski told fans that they could expect McDonald's to "launch a new chicken strip offering" sometime in 2025. The Snack Wrap was introduced in 2004, originally containing a smaller portion of Chicken Selects with lettuce, cheese and special sauce wrapped in a soft shell tortilla, and discontinued in the United States in 2016.
