A viral Ring video shows a man threaten a homeowner before entering his house.

The incident took place in Fairfield, California, at a home where a woman and child were present. Jason Nichols, 30, was seen pacing outside the home and aggressively yelling at the homeowner through the door, which included repeatedly asking "where's your daughter?" The homeowner, who was away at the time, told Nichols to leave, at which point he snapped and began pounding on the door, ripping off the doorbell, yelling threats and attempting to kick down the door.

“The homeowner’s husband, who was away at the time, observed the suspect through a home security camera and immediately returned to the residence,” the Fairfield Police Department confirmed in a post shared on its Facebook account.

Nichols eventually gained access to the home by slipping through a sliding glass door with the family inside. The homeowner raced back to the home and confronted Nichols while armed with a shovel during an incident that left both sustaining head injuries.

Nichols was found outside the home when police arrived at the scene and was taken to a nearby hospital before being booked on charges linked to the incident. The woman and child weren't physically harmed during the incident.

Nichols' bail was set at $35,000 and he's scheduled to appear in court Tuesday (April 14) afternoon.
