Billy Evans, the partner of Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, opened up about his relationship and the recent documentary You Can See Everything during an Ask Me Anything (AMA) on X. Evans invited questions from the public, specifying that they had to be legally permissible.

Evans addressed what he sees as the biggest misconception from the film, stating, "That I somehow control Liz. Anyone who actually knows her would find that idea hilarious. She’s fiercely independent, strong-willed, and my best friend. We are partners in every sense. We challenge each other, disagree, and face the world together," according to Variety. He added that if he ever mistreated Holmes, her friends would hold him accountable.

He also responded to speculation about his behavior in the documentary, particularly regarding rumors of drug use. Evans dismissed claims about cocaine use, attributing his frequent sniffing to "catching colds from his two kids and allergies."

He wrote, "Solo parenting 2 toddlers you are sick approx 75% of days. Allergies in Austin TX are no joke."

On the topic of his legal authority, Evans explained his power of attorney over Holmes while she is incarcerated, saying, "The POA was simply the legal mechanism that allowed me to act on her behalf while she’s incarcerated. It was not a substitute for her consent. We talk about everything, including X. Nothing happened behind her back."

When asked about the first thing he and Holmes will do when she is released from prison, Evans replied, "Hold our kids tight and talk all night," as reported across all three outlets. He also shared personal reflections, saying he misses "everything" about Holmes and described her as someone who "makes me a better person."

Evans answered several lighter questions as well, discussing his favorite movies, musicians, and even joking about scenes in the film. He stated he has no regrets about participating in 'You Can See Everything,' saying, "Not at all," and added that he had seen most of Nathan Fielder's previous work before filming, as noted by Rolling Stone.

The AMA provided Evans a platform to address ongoing public curiosity about his role in Holmes' life, his portrayal in the documentary, and their family’s future. Holmes remains incarcerated, and Evans continues to manage family life and business responsibilities while awaiting her release.
